This special statistical report on injury deaths for 1985-1995 was released in October, 1997. The main portion of the report includes a series of data tables and graphs arranged and presented by type of injury (unintentional, drowning, fires, suicide, etc.) Other special features include presentation of leading causes of death by age group, years of potential life lost by cause of death, and injury deaths by type for selected populations. We hope to update this report sometime in the near future. County level data are presented for each type of injury and include age-adjusted death rates along with 95% confidence intervals and the results of significance testing. Please review the Technical Notes section of this report for more thorough discussion of the use of these statistics and other data that appear in this report. Data for each section or topic can be assessed as a .PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your system in order to access, view the files, and print copies.
