The Pennsylvania Department of Health coordinates statewide HIV/AIDS prevention and service programs, administers state and federally mandated activities through contracts with county and municipal health departments and other agencies. The Department oversees local activities through the Department's six District Offices and the seven regional AIDS Planning Coalitions in the Commonwealth and develops and implements the Department's statewide AIDS and HIV Prevention Plans. The Department works in concert with community-based advisory groups.
